Google has up to date its Google Crawler / Consumer Agent assist doc with a new part for “Retired Google crawlers.” With that, Google introduced the retirement of the short-lived DuplexWeb-Google Consumer Agent.
Google added the DuplexWeb-Google consumer agent to its assist doc in 2021 after which in December 2022, Google retired that consumer agent. Google wrote, “the next Google crawlers are not in use and are solely famous right here for historic reference.” Google then listed DuplexWeb-Google.

It was added to the assistance documentation on December 1st, it’s unclear when that consumer agent stopped crawling.
Duplex was utilized by Google Assistant to name eating places and extra.
Google retired Duplex on the Internet utterly as of December 2022, in keeping with this assist doc. Google wrote, “Duplex on the Internet is deprecated, and can not be supported as of December, 2022. Any automation options enabled by Duplex on the Internet will not be supported after this date.”
